HOW DID YOU FIND LAGREE FITNESS AND WHY DOES IT RESONATE WITH YOU?
My sister introduced me to Lagree Fitness in 2016. When I first saw the megaformer in person, naturally I was intimidated. However, the strength, mental clarity, improvement in posture, and soreness I felt after that very first class had me hooked! I used Lagree Fitness to get in shape for my wedding and surprisingly kept up with my regime thereafter. I have a habit of bouncing from one workout method to another but have stuck to Lagree Fitness because of its high intensity and low impact that are unparalleled by any other fitness method.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR TEACHING STYLE?
Technical and motivating! I like to focus on your form and how you should be feeling. I pay close attention to my students to see if they are being challenged, and then encourage them to push themselves a little harder each time. Don’t be surprised if I ask you to smile!
WHATS YOUR FAVORITE POST-WORKOUT NOSH?
Bananas, or a protein shake!
IF YOU WERE TO GIVE ONE WORKOUT TIP TO YOUR CLIENTS, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Put your mind to it! Lagree Fitness is equal parts mental and physical. If you focus on the moment and tell yourself you can hold that lunge lower or press that carriage out a little farther for a little longer, you will. Be patient with your body and don’t compare your fitness level with anybody but yourself. We all have days when we feel stronger and days when we don’t. On those ‘off’ days, channel your mental strength to assist with the physical and I promise you will still leave your workout feeling strong and accomplished. Mind over matter!
